Micciah: We greet you all, dear friends.
Julie: We do greet you, indeed. This is Micciah Channel, and I’m Julie Winter. Micciah is an energy entity who works with me while I’m in trance, and while I’m in the trance state I have access to a point of view that seems to come from a non-physical realm. This series of programs is drawn primarily from videotapes taken during my regular classes. We want to expand our circle, and include your energy and interest in our work.
Micciah: We greet you all, dear friends. You bring so much to this situation, and it is shared through the miracle of television because people watching are affected by the quality of energy in the group. Even if they watch and their linear minds reject the information, which is fine, just to be there has an effect. And perhaps one of the most important effects is that you relinquish your own privacy, as "this one" has been reading in Trungpa's book. What the warrior renounces is that which is separating himself or herself from all other beings. So this is a way in which you renounce a barrier between yourself and other beings. It is work you do for yourself and it is work you do for the love of other people. Now, please, what are your questions?
Mary Anne: My question is about reincarnation. I am curious to know if there's some pattern as to how long it takes between lifetimes, or how soon a soul can return. And also, when people are old, or senile, in that sort of halfway state between being on this planet and being connected to the greater self, can they be connecting with energies that have also already reincarnated but are some in this greater self also?
Micciah: Yes. This involves talking about time. No time, any time, this time is as good as any other time. Time is somewhat of an illusion. You say, "But it isn't! I was a child, now I am grown and I will die. That is not an illusion." Well, no. Really it is all happening at once. We are going to give you an analogy because it is not possible to explain it. Let us say there are numbers of realms, numbers, hundreds, thousands, and the realms really interpenetrate. In this realm, this realm, this realm, the physical realm, you have created time and all of the issues, the challenges, that are brought up by the apparent truth of death. In this realm you are grappling with the mystery of inner truth and outer reality, which mirrors inner truth but has an apparent factor. The apparent factor in this realm is duality, yes? Opposition. Light and dark. Up and down. In and out. The mysteries are around solving the opposition, or releasing through the opposition into what we have called the power of paradox where both, light and dark, surrender to an energy beyond them, other than them. Now, in the other world, in other realms, they are not grappling with space and time in the way that you are. There are different tasks. Different apparent dilemmas.
And when you are born into this realm you die, part of you dies, to the other, just as when you die in this one you are born into the other. And you never really die at all, the soul doesn't die. The great energies of the self, the big self, just are. So, people enter and leave the earth plane at different times. Sometimes there is a very quick return. In the group of people, the millions of people, who died in the Second War, many incarnated with an agreement, as strange as it may sound, a soul agreement, to try to direct the attention of the planet toward cruelty, toward what happens when masses of people become embroiled in such cruelty. Many of those beings came in, died, and came right back. Not all. Sometimes there will be, in terms of the earth realm, hundreds and hundreds of years between. And your Great Self has feet in a number of other realms, all at the same time. There is a Karen and a Mary Anne and a Rowan and a Brian, portions of your Great Self are experiencing other realms simultaneous to your life here, since there is no time anyway. And you can go backwards and forwards in the other world, the realm that is close to this one where there are energies passing to and fro after death, before death. You can go back and forth. If there is a very violent death, than when that being leaves the body, he or she can go back, to the scene, which exists not any more in the physical world but in the other world — there is no time — and reorganize the elements of it. Since there is no time, it doesn't go backwards or forwards, you can move around freely.
This really drives the linear mind crazy, yes? We can feel you all scratching around. So, when a person in this realm becomes senile, what you call senile, then his or her bond to the physical self loosens, as it does in meditation, as it does in dream work, as it does in many other situations. And he or she travels through, so to speak, into the other realms. And even though a being may have come back into the earth, another component of its energy may have created a body and entered it. Still, in that time of all time, where there is no time, the form of its energy and its personality is alive and will appear and meet with the person who is still in this world. It is those energies that people see upon nearing death, the moment of death. Someone will say, "I see my mother," and that is what he sees. And the energies are there to meet with them and teach them and grow with them and comfort them. No one dies without a sort of reception committee. You are not left alone to figure it out. And there is a great rush, a gush, of love. All that was illusory on this plane, the sense of separation, the opposition, falls away, and it is an experience of great love, crossing over. Sometimes there is some confusion, then it passes. Does that answer the question, more or less?
Mary Anne: Yes.
Micciah: When you were all working with probable selves, remember, in the winter of this year, you were connecting your physical self and consciousness to an aspect self that was quite real but not in the physical realm.
So... What is the next question?
Linda: I have the next question. I’ve wondered if there is a common denominator in the deaths of John Kennedy, and Robert Kennedy, and Martin Luther King, Jr., and Malcolm X in this country. I wondered if their deaths were perhaps related to a collective consciousness in our society that was not ready for the leadership that these men offered or the ethical or moral teachings that they had arrived at. Or if there was a common denominator within the men themselves that allowed them for some reason to choose a violent death.
Micciah: Since your culture so much admires violence, the attachment to negative excitement on the psychological level. When the personal self is split from the core, then the psychological self can become addicted to the charge of violence, of what we will call negative excitement, though we don't like the word "negative." So it is often necessary in this culture to die a violent death in order to make a point. Not so different from the Second War.
Well, the different men have made somewhat different agreements. All understood potentially that they could die violently. Kennedy and Lincoln were part of the same Great Self. We will probably get a lot of people going with that statement! And someone realized there were very many similarities after the assassination of Kennedy. (Which did not happen the way you were told it happened, which several people also figured out. We will not go into that now.) There were many similarities that were noticed. Lincoln also will be in that group. Life is always trying to teach you. The outside is absolutely a reflection of the inside! That is one of the apparent oppositions or dilemmas. It looks as if it's "out there." There is no inside and no outside.
So in their deaths they participated in a group agreement to explode these energies, to attract people's attention to the inner violence. They all knew prior to dying, prior to being shot, that they were going to go. The one who wanted to go least, in a way, was Martin Luther King. The Kennedys were both exhausted. Malcolm X had almost a mission that involved sacrificing the body. As a group you are trying to teach yourselves that you must connect with something greater. That is what they all said, in their own way. You must connect with something greater. With the exception of King, they called it ethics and morals, rather than spirit. If you don't connect with that force, then you will breed violence after violence. So they had personal agreements, and their personal agreements intersected with the group agreement. And in fact, they would have been thwarted, particularly Jack Kennedy would have been thwarted, so he would not have ended up making that much of an impact as he did by dying.
Now, we wish to say one thing on this point which is very important. It is not the case that if you align yourself with the Great Self and with love there will be no more violence, but there will be much less "negative" violence. What is "positive" violence? Well, let us say positive aggression. As we have said before, you are aggressive in eating, yes? Have you ever bitten yourself instead of your food, by accident? It hurts! So it is not that the world will turn into a saccharine-like environment, where everyone smiles, but you will be in the right alignment to all of the functions of life, including death.
So, Rowan.
Rowan: I would like to know about accidents.
Micciah: We are going to put this together with coincidence. And it really is connected, everything you have asked is connected. You separate accident from the rest of life. Accidents sort of stand out. They do stand out. There is no accident — except every once in a while there is. [Laughter] Because there are no absolutes. And there are no coincidences. Coincidences, or what Jung studied as synchronicity, and what the I Ching is reflecting when you throw it, or the Tarot cards, or any of the ancient means of so-called divination (nice word, to "divine") are ways of looking inside out. "Ah, the oracle says..." They are ways of looking at the reflection of your own consciousness, but you don't really need an oracle, although they are useful and fun and a way of clarifying. Your life is the oracle. Life is your teacher. Everything you create is a reflection of consciousness. The problem you get into is that you Judge it. "Oh, good!" says the personality. "Good, good. Good consciousness has created good events, I feel happy, that is good." And bad consciousness has created bad events. "I feel terrible. That is bad. There must be something wrong. Why is there something wrong?" Then the mind begins to spin. "Ah! It was drinking a beer, threw my body off." It wasn't drinking a beer. Life is always teaching, life is always trying to teach you.
So by meditating, just on your life, you will see the direction of your own consciousness unfolding. And an accident is not necessarily bad. That is what we meant earlier when we said do not mistake meditation for a cure-all at the level where the personality would like to find comfort. The personality is very interested in comfort. It doesn't mean that at all. Perhaps the accident is to wake you up. Perhaps the accident reflects self-hatred. Perhaps the coincidence is to point your nose in a particular direction. "Look over here. Look over here. Look over here!" Everything is a teaching. We are going to say this again. It is very easy in metaphysics to misconstrue the needs of the personality for the needs of the spirit. And the personality will go for what is easy, what is comfortable. We are not against things being easy and comfortable. But to grow, you have to take risks! To be vulnerable, to be courageous, to step over your fears, press through them, to live on the line a little bit.
So... Pay attention during the week to the coincidences and, having mentioned it, you will now have many, because the mind, the unconscious, is alerted. Coincidences are extraordinary teachers.
Julie: That’s all for the moment. At the end of class we discuss the information that Micciah has shared and talk about how to use it in ordinary life, since all of this information was given to be used.
Several final words. The thread that runs through my work of, which the channeling is one aspect, is healing. So, the thread of healing goes through my work with individuals, my teaching, my lecturing, my writing. And that healing, I believe, comes from a truthful exploration of one's relationship with spirit. Spirit heals through us, and that healing enables us to be with the sacred nature of everyday life. I urge you to use your prayers and meditations toward experiencing the joy and sacred nature of life itself.
Julie: “This channeling is meant to be a spiritual, emotional, intellectual, heartful, mindful journey that I share with another realm, that I share with my classes and that we all share with you. Please go over the material, evaluate it for yourself, and know what it is that you think about it.”
