   Micciah: We greet you all, dear friends.

   Julie: My Name is Julie Winter, and this program is called Micciah Channel.
   And what you are going to see is me, going into an altered state of consciousness, a non ordinary state of awareness. And what I believe happens when I am in that state is that I enter an expanded geography of the self, and that there is an overlap between what I know (my intelligence, my awareness, my experience) and something that is larger than my ordinary awareness. It may indeed be that it is all part of my awareness and that would be fine. What’s produced is a personality that is a product of this overlapping and the personality is called Micciah.
   My voice is going to change and it is my own voice. The variations in speech have to do with my being in an altered state.
   The program is created from my classes. My students bring questions in. We encourage you to ask questions, to ask questions about channeling, about my channeling, whatever. And use your discernment in evaluating the information that comes through.

   Micciah: We greet you, dear friends.
   You are, in this time, in the midst of the eternal Now — which appears to you as moment after moment after moment.
   And you are in the midst of having unveiled to you much of the cruelty that has existed for centuries and centuries, as if the mass of unconscious pain, represented through compulsive action back through the ages, is revealing itself to you as the monumental — sometimes seemingly overwhelming — aspect of the Shadow.
   We have said before that the Shadow is that in which you have no faith. When there is no faith that you are large enough to claim all of your impulses, including those that are cruel, dishonest, maiming, both toward self and others; when you do not experience yourself as large enough, or the family circle or the cultural circle or the spiritual circle as large enough to acknowledge that and face it, then it is enacted: it is acted out, expressed, in the physical world.
   And you are feeling the impact so strongly because this is a great time of healing and of choosing. And you are able to see the violence not only in your own community but because of what you have created in terms of the media, in terms of instant communications world-wide. You are aware, if you allow yourself to be, of the monumental cruelty, reflected everywhere on the screen, interspersed with advertisements, which are like — many of them, not all — but like the fangs and the claws of greed flashing back and forth, in between videotaped images of destruction and unbelievable violence.
   It is as if this physical time, this piece of the larger cycle, is a pool, a — (a cache?), to allow you to see what your potential for violence and cruelty is. And it is resonating up through the ages: we want to emphasize this. There have been times long before this one of insanity in the form of violence. The Children’s Crusade was not in the minor leagues in its expression of violence through the distortion of religious principles, of cruelty, of greed. But you, now, have agreed at the larger level to witness — this is an important word — to witness it ... for other times as well as your own.
   This is a time of speeding up — everything is faster and faster. At the same time, the potential seeds of the healing are being cooked in this chaos. At the same time, you have drawn into the earth realm many powerful beings, many all at the same time, who are strongly aligned with Spirit; and you are also, because you are in an age of such rapid communication, able to see, to read, to communicate much about Spirit — just as quickly as you can communicate about cruelty. The hundreds of books available; the possibilities to communicate peace through the media.
   And right now a kind of cracking apart, in an uprush of violence; and also a yearning, at a very intense vibratory level, for peace. The paradox — the dichotomy — is getting stronger and stronger. It is less and less possible to go back into hiding and ignore what is transpiring. And the eventual well-being of this planet must include a better balance between all species: right relationship between human creatures and all other creatures, and the water spirits and the tree spirits, the rocks, the mountains, the grasses.
   You are also attended, as we have said before, by guardians. You are not left all on your own to do this! You have support; yet no one can make the choices you need to make to move toward Spirit and the celebration of the union of the self with that love that is large enough to heal everything — no one can be responsible and accountable for that — except you yourselves. So although you are attended by guardians, and you have support beyond what you allow yourselves to conceive of, we encourage you to open yourselves continually to the conception of a power greater than you can imagine. You have that support, but there is nothing that will swoop in for you and save the day.
   So! Please, what are your questions?

   Mary Anne: I wanted to ask about the movement of peace and healing that’s going on in Eastern — the Communist countries, the opening there. We always thought the domino theory would go the other way, and it appears that the domino theory is now moving towards peace, towards an opening to freedom.

   Micciah: [Whisper.] Yes.

   Mary Anne: And, um — I suppose my question is: is that a forerunner to a greater opening that’s going to be happening on the whole planet, in terms of healing?

   Micciah: Yes; it is a wedge. What happens is — first of all, you must understand that you experience life in a linear context, yet truly it all is happening in nonlocal time, in the eternity of Now. And what is happening in the Eastern European countries and in Russia is a product not only of the consciousness of those people there but of all the healing prayers everywhere, which appear in that location as this opening wedge toward greater freedom of choosing. It will bring with it its own problems; yet it is a bursting apart. It is like a seed pod — [unvoiced] PAH! — that is ready to open. And all of the prayers, down through the centuries and forward into time which you have not yet experienced, support the changes toward peace.
   We would like to comment that, ah — ah — there are going to be difficulties that come from the changes, that also will reflect some of these same schisms. The change itself does not mean that all of the people are healed of their — ah — separation from Spirit, any more than it means that people in the United States, because they have freedom of government (more or less — and, relative to the rest of the world, more), that you are all free of difficulties.
   However: what happens is that there is — let’s see, how to explain this ... there is a vibrant upsurge, both in yearning for peace ... and a dream willingness, a willingness in — in the time, in dreamtime. You plan a lot of planetary activities in dreamtime. You don’t only dream for yourself; you dream (and particularly some people who are designated to do that) — dream — the plans are enfolded in dreamtime that then appear in the physical world.
   So — the time is ripe for this change, and the yearning for it is very intense. And when it reaches critical mass, then change appears in the physical world.
   But you say, “Well, why is there no yearning in the places where suffering is so prominent?” Because the yearning for peace is not yet strongly enough present in every individual for it to affect each situation, everywhere; so there are some that are ripe, as we said, like a seed pod, ready to shift, and others that are still caught in the — the mirroring of your cruelty.
   And we have said this before, as well: cruelty tends to be projected outward. “We are not cruel. It is only other, bad people who are cruel.” Cruelty is not — [sharp sigh] — the enacting of cruelty will change as each person can look at his or her own unacceptable portions.
   Not with further cruelty (“Oh! I am a cruel person! Good! I will beat myself because I am cruel!”), but with compassion to look at the Shadow. Cruelty is based in fear.
   You are living in a violently dichotomous time, and one out of which great healing will emerge — but not without further chaos. We would like to say you are at the end of the chaos, but you know that is not so.
   Please go on.

   Michael: I have a related question, concerning political change and social awareness. It seems like everything is happening now in Eastern Europe and nothing’s happening here, and I can only think of the 1960’s in this country, where there was a lot of activism toward change. And I’m wondering if these things happen in cycles; and if they do, is the cycle going to come full turn in this country, and/or are we going to have a return of more activism?

   Micciah: Yes. We don’t like to make predictions, but — there are — there are cycles within cycles within cycles, all existing in the simultaneity of time. Some of the cycling, as we have just mentioned, relates to the formulation of great plans — plans that are communicated amongst many, many beings, that are enfolded in dreamtime and then enacted — sometimes to the surprise of the people who are enacting them, as it was a surprise that all of the changes in Eastern Europe happened after so much resistance. The change simply — was a melting, overnight. There are people who are not surprised, but there are those who find themselves participating and are startled by their own actions. And this is connected to the enfolding in dreamtime. It is like a code. And when you reach a certain point in the song of the code, change begins to manifest in the physical world.
   (Of course, you perceive the opening in Russia and so forth as highly desirable from your own political standpoint. In the greater sense, other things are true. However; we are not saying it isn’t desirable, but it is conceived in America as particularly desirable.)
   So — there are rhythms of change that are beyond what you control individually, that are group or mass agreements in consciousness. There are incarnations of the entire planet which have been described in other cultures — the Indian culture and beliefs, and many of the Native American beliefs, where the earth and all of her creatures are understood to go through incarnations. The earth itself goes through cycles, with all the creatures in this dimension participating: cycles of peace and cycles of war, cycles that represent what are called “great ages.” And in this teaching you are in the age of destruction, at the end of a great world age, which is what we are referring to with the enormous speeding up and, ah — instant mirroring of violence as well as the desire for peace.
   So, there are vast cycles within which are smaller rhythms; and every one of you — every one of you — knows all of the cycles that exist and have always existed. And you can draw upon all knowledge for healing when you pray and affirm. When you do that, you open the window to everything that has ever been in prayer [sharp inhalation], and you pull that through yourself and into this realm; and it — if two people do it, it is magnified far beyond the two, and if three, far beyond the three, and so forth. You must be mindful, particularly in this cycle, to stay connected — not to be — not — not to not have your feelings, but not to be swept completely into the vastness of despair, which is so potent because there is so much suffering.
   By the middle of the 1990s you will see upheaval and ferment in the United States: economic change, some continued change of the land, racial tensions that burst in various places. It will be more like, in your lifetime, the ’60’s: people [loud handclap] being awakened out of self-absorption and the trance of greed, which is a kind of — of desperation and loss of Spirit.
   And remember that you are always held by Spirit. You experience the dance ... of the sundering! The dark and the light seem to oppose each other. The more you individually yearn for union and ask for the grace of that union (however you conceive of it), the more transparent the situation becomes, so that you are truly free to work for peace without being sunk in the despair.
   Is this clear so far? It feels very convoluted. Are we being clear?

   Students: Yes ... yeah ... yes.
